What is lángos?

It looks simple. Making it truly well is a craft.

Lángos is one of Hungary’s best-known dishes, with roots reaching back to the country’s bread-baking tradition. It is best served fresh: golden and crisp outside, soft and airy inside – and an enduring classic with garlic, sour cream and cheese.

The Molnár’s standard

We never compromise when choosing ingredients. If quality calls for it, we go farther and source from beyond our immediate surroundings to work with genuinely good ingredients. Every lángos is made to order from our own recipe and served freshly fried.

Quality ingredients

“It matters what goes on top.”

We don’t choose what’s close. We choose what’s good.

The topping matters as much as the lángos itself: from the sausage to the garlic, we choose every ingredient with the same care.

Lángos grew from Hungary's bread-baking tradition: a simple flatbread once baked near the oven and now fried fresh to order. At Molnár's, our own recipe and carefully selected ingredients carry this Hungarian classic forward in downtown Budapest.
